On Blaming Bush
It gets so frustrating when it seems that the only news is about how screwed up our country is and how it's all Bush's fault. Why can't the MSM be honest and spread the blame around, like to the liberals? Or why can't they report about the amazing things that are happening, like freedom in Iraq, people pulling together across the nation, more donations pouring into the Red Cross and Salvation Army than ever before, patriotism, soldiers' pride? It wears me down day-after-day. But a got a bit of a laugh and a little perspective when I read this quote:

It's easy to forget that other presidents had a very difficult time in office.
I'm old enough to remember the venom directed at Richard Nixon.
I vaguely remember Nixon (more memories of Ford afterwards). I definitely remember the crap Carter got over the hostages. I actually felt sorry for him at the time...boy, was that misplaced!
Carter didn't get as much credit for his valiant defense of his boat from the rabid rabit.
It was the Billy Beer. It really ruined everything for him. HA! (now it's messed with his brain...long term side-effects?)
It's hard to get over the glaring bias of the MSM.
I get depressed somedays, but I think the blogosphere is starting to tip the balance.
