I don't understand

I cannot comprehend the hatred that some people have for everyone and everything. I have been rummaging around the different blogs here at blogspot and came across the most vitriol rant against America and Americans. From inferences, the person is an American. I suppose that they should be really grateful that they live here where they have the right to speak freely, but I have a feeling they don't care about that either.
