The Old Adage
Is it me, or does someone need to remind Pat Robertson of the old adage, "If you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all"? Or better yet, "Shut your yap!"
So, he has a direct link to God? He knows exactly what God thinks? He's been appointed the divine earthly mouthpiece for God? Pat, grasp reality with both hands and hang on! You may be a pious man, but I don't believe that you can actually speak for God. (He might get a little ticked about that.) Best to keep the comments to, "I believe..." or "According to scripture...,".
Yes, we live in a free country where you are more than welcome to say whatever you like, but remember, before you (and I mean anybody) open your mouth, remember that the things you say can 1) come back to bite you in the butt and/or 2) hurt your credibility with those you would profess to lead or counsel.
