New Look

I felt like the old look was getting just that, old. I also wanted color without it being a pink mess and thought this red look very nice. It doesn't really go with my theme as much, but I like it a lot better. I'm going to continue to clean up the widgets and see if I can't make it look at little more professional.

Etsy Anniversary

I missed my own Etsy Anniversary! It was on Tuesday and needless to say, I wasn't paying much attention since the world was watching the inauguration! Handmadeology

Tim from Timothy Adam Designs has started a new blog called Handmadeology. This blog will be a fountain of information and tips for selling your art online! I am really excited to see what ideas he'll be posting as he is a very successful artist. His sales are over well over 1,000 on Etsy alone. I know from reading his blog that he will have a lot of great ideas to share. I would like to be much more successful with my art and know that following the advice of someone who is already doing well can only make my shop better!

What I've Been Up To

This scarf is in a plain knit stitch using 67% wool/33% rayon from bamboo blend in gorgeous turquoise, green and purple.




This knit and purl stitched baby blanket is me channeling my mom. She knit baby blankets for the NICU of her local hospital. Hers were much prettier, but she would have loved this bright yarn of 100% acrylic. I was so happy with how this turned out that I thought I might add it to my shop, but with the CPSIA passing and going into effect on February 10, I guess I won't be doing that.




The partial piece is the one I'm working on now. It's a wonderfully soft "Spa" yarn of 75% microdenier acrylic and 25% bamboo green sheen.




I always hated knitting when I was younger because I just didn't have the patience and would constantly drop stitches or somehow add them. I've gotten better. Probably has something to do with being much older and definitely more patient!

Art Fire

I have opened an Art Fire shop. I am hoping the additional exposure will get my beadwork more noticed. I only have a couple pieces in there so far, but I will be working on more new pieces to add over the next few days.
