Accomplishments
Yesterday our youngest daughter received two very prestigious awards. They are the Scholastic Key Awards for Young Artists and Writers. She received a Gold Key for the color photo and the Silver Key for the black and white photo! The Gold Key photo will be sent on to New York City for the National competition!
After the ceremony we went car shopping for her and this bright yellow Chevy Cobalt is now her ride. She knows this is the one and only vehicle she will get from us, so she's got to take care of it! One good thing about it being so bright and noticeable is that she will have to watch her speed...police will definitely pay attention to a bright yellow car flying by!

Wanting to Help
Tanya Boden of Aardvark Silver (an Australian living in Thailand) is in a terrible situation right now. She is in need of critical heart surgery and must pay for it up front and her time is horribly short. To read more about her story and condition visit her blog Aardvark Silver and specifically this post: MAYDAY MAYDAY.
I have decided to join in the efforts to raise money for her so please visit my Etsy shop where I will be donating $15 from every "Squiggle" cuff sold towards Tanya's fundraising efforts.
You can help too:

Our Frozen World
I apologize for no new posts lately. The weather is really getting to me. We have had snow off and on every day since New Year's Eve and we haven't reached freezing (32 degrees F.) since January 1st. It's getting to be a bit much and yes, those are our "icicle" lights encased in real icicles. I don't think the Christmas lights will be coming down anytime soon.
