Latest Creations and Other Stuff

I cannot wait to get my "studio" set up so I can have my light box all set for photos. These were taken outside, but I just didn't have the control to capture the colors! The triple wrap bracelets really look nice worn as necklaces! Thanks   to Bonnie for showing me how pretty they could be!

New! New! New!

The top piece I've called "Lattice". I created it with dark plum, palladium plated and black Delicas. It's 1.25" wide and 7.75" long and I used an antique looking button for the toggle.

The second piece I've called "Fall". I was looking through the colors for Fall/Winter and fell in love with them! I've used light orange, matte lavender and deep sea teal. It's just under 1.25" wide and 7.5" long and used a beaded toggle.

Wait till you see the one I'm working on now!!

BAO Item of the Week and Stretchy Bracelets

Have you checked out the Bead Art Originals Items of the Week yet? What are you waiting for? Check them out on our blog: BAO IOTW 0814

Here are the stretchy bracelets I've completed for my step-mother. She loves these and I thought I'd throw in some special ones. I've included 5 made with Swarovski pearls and several bundles in Japanese triangle beads which have a nice sparkle to them.

What I've Finally Accomplished!

It took quite a while, but I finished my purple cuff and completed over 100 little bracelets. I'm still making more of the little bracelets, but at least I've gotten some things completed! It's all a step in the right direction!

Some Updates

Have you checked out the Bead Art Originals Items of the Week? Please do because there are amazing pieces to be seen and some specials to be found! Check all of them out at the blog: Bead Art Originals.

I am still working on the purple cuff. Ok, I'll admit it, it's taken a back seat to the simple stretchy bracelets I'm making for my step-mother. But the little bracelets have been very therapeutic. I've finished 82 of them! I know I need to just put the simple bracelets aside and finish the cuff, it's almost halfway there!

As weird as it sounds, school events have gotten busy! Tonight was a parents' meeting for the parents of all fall athletes. It's still July, but the football team and the cheerleaders started practices in June and the soccer teams and the golf teams started early in July. So, they really aren't fall sports! Anyway, the paper work for school has started...the triplicate forms, the emergency cards, the code of conduct and photo releases all have to be filled out!

Life keeps moving forward whether I am ready or not, so I am hanging on!

Projects

I am still working on the purple cuff, but it's getting there. I have also created another pair of earrings. I am going to start working on some simple "stretchy" bracelets for my step-mother. I think all of this is helping me over this creativity block. I've been thinking about new ideas that I want to try. It would be so so much easier if I could just shake my head and clear the cobwebs!

More New Stuff

We have "Not Your Average Argyle Cuff" and "Summer Sky Bangle". I'm working on another variation of the argyle look and will probably have that posted tomorrow. I'm cruising right along and having fun!

Newest Pieces

Here are my three latest pieces.
#1 Summer Elements Cuff
#2 Sunshine Bangle
#3 Deep Water Cuff

I am currently working on another cuff in a multi-color palette. It is really amazing to me how much more I have gotten done by listening to music instead of having the TV on!

New Beadwoven Bracelet

Well, I've finished another beadwoven bracelet. This one is 24 beads wide and is a two-drop peyote stitch. It's a Valentine theme and though I don't have photos yet, I'll give you a hint...think rose petals.

I've started planning out my next piece and this one is for the March Etsy Beadweaver Challenge. The theme is "Temptation" and the first thing that popped into my head was chocolate! For me, that's a BIG temptation! I LOVE Harry & David Truffles, especially the cherry and raspberry cremes! Talk about melt in your mouth! Anyway, as you can tell, they are a definite temptation for me, so they are the basis for the idea behind my piece for the challenge. Hopefully it will turn out to be quite tasty!

New Pieces!

This one I think I'll call "A Case of the Blues". It has five shades/finishes of blue Delica stripes, is one inch wide and is seven inches long. And the other one is called "A Tisket, A Tasket, A Black and White Basket". OK, so I may have to shorten that a bit to list it, but that's what popped into my head! This cuff is just over an inch wide and about 7.5 inches long. I do have a third piece, but I don't want to show it just yet since it's my entry for the EBW December Challenge and I want to list it first.

New Bracelets

Here are three new bracelets ("Midnight", "Sunshine to Rain" and "Purple Iris and Rose") that I did over the last week and I am also working on another! It's the most productive I've been in a very long time. It's also the first time I've really done two-drop peyote. Now I know why it's a favorite among many of my fellow beadweavers! It's fun, it's fast and I've been able to create several new patterns that I'm going to work on over the coming weeks!

I told my husband that I would love to have a line of bracelets that I could sell at boutiques, but I need to have time to design them and create them and I just don't have that kind of time right now. Maybe I should play the lottery...then I could quit my job and create, create, create!! :)

I've decided that I need to clean out my shop to make room for new pieces. I have put most of my crystal bracelets on sale. The original prices were $15 to $25 and are now $10.50 to $20. They are nice little bracelets that will add sparkle to any outfit. I hope you stop by and check them out and maybe even buy them!

EBW September Challenge

Here is my entry into this month's Etsy BeadWeaver Challenge themed "Show Your Colors". I wish I could have truly captured the "stained glass" effect that the gemtones have. Oh, and it's called "Geometric Gemtones". I thought about using pyramids, but since some are upside-down, I thought I'd just go with geometric.

Two Others

Here's the silver and sapphire one as previously mentioned. I also have this one in lilac AB, but it's not in the shop as yet. I showed it to a friend and yeah! she wants me to set it aside for her! Let me know what you think!I am currently working on my September Challenge piece for the Etsy Bead Weaver Group, but I haven't come up with a clasp for it yet. The challenge theme is "Show Your Colors" and I have nine colors plus silver! I've used jewel-tone colors and I think it looks gorgeous, but then, I'm prejudice! :)

Watermelon Plaid

Here is another new piece. This one is a new pattern as well and I really love the way it turned out. Apparently someone else did too, because it's in a treasury entitled "Buffy, Mitsy and Muffy"! The entire treasury is pink and green! It will be up until Wednesday 8/29 4:20pm if you want to look at the whole grouping...it's adorable! http://www.etsy.com/treasury_list.php?room_id=7393

Here's a New One

Here's a new one with more to follow in the next couple of days. I have to recharge the camera batteries and get more pics taken, but I have two more items to post. This one I've called "Rolling Waves" because the tube-like beaded-beads roll. The bracelet has a nice weight and feel to it, too. I really like the look of it.
