New Stuff

Here's what I've been up to lately. The kitchen isn't getting done yet, but I wanted to show the colors. These are the same colors that were in our living room & dining room. (I can't believe I hadn't taken a "before" picture!) So, now we have the new colors...from camel, sand and Merlot to modern gray and grapy (a really smoky purple). The previous carpeting was this really cheap berber that was here when we moved in and now we have this lovely, cushy, fluffy carpet that Sadie certainly loves!

The last photo is another color challenge piece for Bead Art Originals! I can't believe I actually finished one on time. I also just completed a piece for the Etsy Beadweavers Royalty Challenge, but I haven't photographed it yet. I have to get that done tomorrow so I can list it before the deadline.

That's it for now...but I think I may be on a roll, so you may be seeing more soon!

Vacation!

In just a little over 36 hours, we will be on a plane going on our vacation! We are so looking forward to getting away! In the meantime, I have finished a couple of cuffs (one for the BAO color challenge and another of the crystal/pearl cuffs) and working on a third, but I don't think I'll be able to finish it and list it before the EBW challenge deadline. I guess I'll just have to list it when I get back & not be a part of the challenge. I did have inquiries about a custom order! I'm going to start working on that idea, too.

Oh and don't forget to check in on the Etsy Beadweavers. The latest challenge (Silver & Gold) will be up soon, so be sure to vote for your favorite! The next challenge has just been announced and it's "Bollywood"! I really like this idea and may just have to come up with something myself!

An Etsy Beadweaver Challenge Entry

I haven't entered an Etsy Beadweaver Challenge in a very long time. Mostly no time, but I just couldn't pass up the Ocean theme! I love the colors of water/ocean/sea and loved playing with those colors...despite starting this project at least a dozen times before finally being happy with the combination of colors! So, here is my entry: Stormy Seas Cuff.
Oh and here's some fitting news to go along with the cuff...my husband and I, along with our dear friends, have booked an Alaskan cruise! We'll be going in August and we can't wait!!

Finally Some New Stuff

I have finally completed some new pieces! One is for the Bead Art Originals Color Mosaic (Yellow and Gray) and the other was inspired by the Etsy Beadweaver's Challenge for January..."Ocean and Sea". (Although, I am working on a different cuff to submit for the Challenge!)

Newest Stuff

The first one is "Golden Honey Bronze" and the second is "Pink is for the Tatas" and $20 from the purchase price will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation in the purchaser's name!

New! New! New!

The top piece I've called "Lattice". I created it with dark plum, palladium plated and black Delicas. It's 1.25" wide and 7.75" long and I used an antique looking button for the toggle.


The second piece I've called "Fall". I was looking through the colors for Fall/Winter and fell in love with them! I've used light orange, matte lavender and deep sea teal. It's just under 1.25" wide and 7.5" long and used a beaded toggle.

More New Stuff

We have "Not Your Average Argyle Cuff" and "Summer Sky Bangle". I'm working on another variation of the argyle look and will probably have that posted tomorrow. I'm cruising right along and having fun!

I'm Rolling Right Along...

Here are even more pieces I've completed. I listed the "Tutti Frutti" bangle today and will list these two either tonight or tomorrow! On the left: "When Life Gives You Lemons Cuff" and on the right: "Electric Blue Bangle".

Another One!!

Yup, another new bangle. This one doesn't have a name yet, though I'm leaning towards "Tutti Fruitti" simply because it has the raspberry, orangey colors in it!

Here is another new one! This one is called "Razzmatazz"! My friend Dian named it for me and many others agreed that it fit, so here it is...

I am currently working on another cuff in a multi-color palette. It is really amazing to me how much more I have gotten done by listening to music instead of having the TV on!

A Juicy New Cuff

This one is my newest cuff. A dear friend's daughter love orange, so she was the inspiration for it. It measures just under 7.25" long and is a full 1.25" wide. I've used three types of Delica beads...opaque Mandarin orange, silver-lined bright orange and transparent tangerine orange with an AB finish. It's a fun, bright summer cuff!

Latest Jewelry Added to My Etsy Shop

Since I have some people who aren't able to check my Etsy shop very often, I thought I would post my latest beadwoven pieces here so they could see them. (Besides, it gets all mixed in when I relist anyway.) So here they are...

The first is "Art Deco Burgundy" candle holder was actually created some time ago, but just added in the past few days.

The second is a cuff I've called "In the Pink" and my youngest daughter said it reminded her of the Cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland (though the Disney version of the cat was purple and black).

The third is a piece which was created for the Etsy Beadweavers Challenge Tropical Holiday which is being voted on now over at the Etsy Beadweavers blog. It is called "Tropical Dreams" and is composed of 12 different vibrant summer colors.

The last is a bit of a Valentine's piece. It's called "He Scattered Rose Petals Before Her" and is the color of multiple pink rose petals scattered across a white background.

And finally, I am currently creating a pattern for the next Etsy Beadweaver Challenge "Temptation" and as I mentioned in an earlier post, chocolate is what most tempts me! Oh, and I am also working on a new scarf for my Art Fire shop. Stay tuned, more to come...

New Piece!

This one is called "Decadence" because it has the beautiful shimmering gold and the rich chocolate brown. I thought it also looked like s'mores, which despite it's fireside and camping reputation is a really rich dessert!
