I'm thinking about how I will set up my shop and the display at Art in the Park next year. I think I will have sections...Deep Space...Of the Earth...In the Garden...At the Museum. I have obviously done pieces for the Deep Space and Of the Earth sections, but I've yet to get going on the floral patterns and patterns based on pieces found in museums. I think, too, I will list my finished pieces, even though I was trying to stockpile for the show next year.

And So It Goes...

I've finished the piece with the tree. It's based on this photo of a tree at the point where Goose Creek meets Chautauqua Lake in the Ashville area of New York. We love going there in the summer to rest and relax, if only for a day or two.  Luckily we have family who live there every summer, so we always have a place to stay!

I'm now working on another Deep Space piece, but will return to the lake photos when I've finished this one, I think.

Falling Fall

Spent last weekend at the lake for the final time this summer season. It was beautiful...but sad, too!

Doradus

This is my 3rd cuff in the Deep Space series (the first two have already sold!). This one is based on one of the photos of the star formations in the 30 Doradus Nebula. I loved the mix of colors. The photographs from the Hubble Space Telescope can be seen on the Nasa Images website (http://www.nasaimages.org/)

Spiral in Space Cuff

After many failed attempts, several starts and tear-aparts, here it is at last! The first in my Deep Space Series. This one is based on a Hubble Space Telescope photo of a spiral galaxy. It is 24 beads across, single-drop peyote technique and I have 16 different colors of Delicas in it! I liked the button because it looked a little like a spaceship!

Inspiration

I have recently fallen in love with the photos from the Hubble Space telescope and decided to try my hand at creating patterns and cuffs from these photos! So far, I am VERY pleased and excited about this new series of cuffs!
